Cut – Combine Design

If you’ve seen the Fractured Image quilts using the pattern by Johanne Gibson, you’ve seen what can happen to an interesting piece of fabric when it’s duplicated, cut, and reassembled. In this Cut-Combine-Design class you will make a smaller version of the fractured image as well as a few 4-patch squares that use the same piece of fabric. You will also learn how to make X-Block squares for an interesting border. You’ll finish with a wall hanging about 24” x 40”. Grab a big tropical print, a “retro” (vintage 70’s) print or any floral with lots of colors and we’ll cut, combine, and design your wall hanging.
